Safe Walk Home
This object was created and loaded with the hope that all girls and women will have a safe walk home, every night. It contains the hope that none of us ever again limit our bodies or space, due to feeling unsafe or insecure.
My inspiration for this work is the sculptural walking sticks, often found in museums. I gave my walking stick feminine shapes and it is something to lean on. On it hangs the symbol many women recognize from their lone walks home at night — the key.

Malin Viktorsson
My name is Malin Viktorsson, and I am in BA3. Jewellery Art inspires me through its close relation to body and the dialogue it enables me to create between my objects and the wearer. Through jewellery art I have found a way to express myself.
The object I am presenting in this exhibition is charged with the hope that all girls and women have a safe walk home, every night. And that we never again have to limit ourselves and our bodies due to not feeling safe or protected.
